Winnipeg

We arrived late July 5 and are leaving tomorrow July 8 for Thunder Bay. Today we went to the Royal Canadian Mint. We took the tour and it was very interesting to see the process of making our coins. They only make coins in Winnipeg and the paper money is made in the mint in Ottawa. Winnipeg Mint also makes coins for many, many other countries. I did not know that.

After the Mint we headed over to the Louis Reil House. They also give you a tour there and it was very informative. We didn't know too much about Louis Reil, but now we are educated. We met people from Ontario who were heading to BC and we are heading to Ontario. In our campground, there are two other BC ers. One is from Abbotsford and the other is from Surrey. Small world!

This evening while supper was cooking, a thunderstorm rolled in. The rain pelted down quite heavily and the cracks of lightning were loud!

Well early to bed tonight as we have about an 8 - 10 hr. drive tomorrow.

"But the word of the Lord endureth forever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you" 1Peter 1:25
